Strandbad Tegel
There was a time when Strandbad Tegel was abandoned, closed down, derelict, cast aside and thrown away like a lakeside beach. Berlin must be the only city in the world that can literally throw away a natural attraction, but throw it away it did, cementing its status as the most wasteful city among all the cities mentioned on this site.
Strandbad Tegel was definitely abandoned when AB called around in 2020, by which time it was abandoned for four years. Photos below.
It has, however, apparently – it hasn’t been verified – reopened.
