A tale of Nazi persecution and German indifference

I was actually looking for the abandoned Iraqi embassy when I* stumbled upon this ruin in Pankow. The builders had already gotten there before me and I was a little disappointed as I took what pictures I could of what was clearly an impressive building. It was only afterward that I learned the story of the Garbáty Zigarettenfabrik and how its Jewish owners had been hounded out of it. You can read the story by clicking the button below.
